TC Senior Marine Safety Inspector Jobs Details:

You need to perform several duties in this job like:

1. You need to work with others in collaboration and adapt to meet the different needs of our leading clients.
2. You need to take fast, decisive action and should be able to negotiate and facilitate behavioral change and acquire new skills in client industries.
3. You need to work in excessive stress conditions with responsibility and accountability to make decisions that have an impact on the safety of Canadians.
4. You need to inspect and certify Canadian vessels.
5. You need to inspect various commercial vessels.
6. You need to approve plans for vessels.
7. You need to issue safe manning documents.
8. You need to issue various coasting trade letters.
9. You need to take care of occupational health and safety(Marine).

Education:

Stream 1: You need to possess a post secondary diploma in naval architecture from a recognized institute.

Stream  2:  You need to have a diploma in electrical or electronics engineering.

Stream  3: You need to have a secondary school diploma and a Canadian certificate of competency as a Master near Coastal.

Stream   4:  You need to have a secondary school diploma and possession of a certificate of Canada as a second class engineer.

Experience:

This post is a specialized one and thus requires experience. You should have 2 years experience in one of the following areas:

1. Marine design
2. Construction
3. Repair
4. Operation
5. Inspection
6. Quality assurance

Moreover, you should have experience in technical/operational management of ships.

Skills:

1. Demonstrating integrity and respect
2. Team work
3. Showing initiative and being an action oriented person.
4. Ability to work under stressful conditions and to meet deadlines.

Conditions of Employment:

1. You should possess reliability status security clearance.
2. You should have a valid health Canada occupational health certificate.
