Job Description

RCMP has started the recruitment process for the posts of Police Officer in Canada. Persons residing in Canada, Canadian citizens and permanent residents abroad can apply for this position. The base pay rate is $65,776. The selected candidates after thorough selection will get training at RCMP academy. First Preference will be given to the veterans and then to the Canadian Citizens and then to the permanent residents. You should be residing in Canada for 3 out of 5 years as a permanent resident.

Minimum age limit: 18 years.

Educational requirement:

You should have a minimum Canadian secondary school (High School) diploma. If your education is done from outside Canada, you must have an equivalency assessment.

Operational requirement:

There are certain operational requirements which you need to fulfill to get into the service.

1. You should have a valid driving license.
2. You should be able to carry a gun.
3. You should be proficient in either French or English to get this job.

Language required:

You should have an assessment of English or French essential. Moreover, you need to provide a valid Government of Canada SLE result.
