Who can apply
For the Apprentice position:
Certificate of Qualification as an Upholsterer from a community or vocational college
OR an acceptable mix of schooling, training, and practice.
Basic knowledge of how to reupholster furniture.
Experience with a wide range of materials, tools, and machinery.
For the Furniture Upholsterer position:
Certification in upholstery from school after high school plus work experience OR an acceptable mix of appropriate education, training, and work experience.
Webbing and spring stretchers, mallet, ripping chisel, knives, foam cutters, spring cutters, clinch-it tools, a large range of specialized needles, etc.
Experience using and taking care of different kinds and models of sewing machines
and knowing how to use them for different things.
