As a Curriculum Designer in Learning and Development, you will collaborate with CPS units to define specialist development training. You will assess needs, design curriculum, write papers, supervise course implementation, and evaluate course and delivery effectiveness. Duties include:
- Work with subject matter experts and project managers to analyze learning needs, set project goals, learning objectives, and success measures.
- Using best practices and principles of adult learning, design and create face-to-face, online, and blended learning tools that help people remember what they’ve learned and keep them interested.
- Map out the curriculum and make sure it fits with the learning goals, testing and evaluation methods, and competency-based education.
- Use evaluation tools to figure out how well learning and training methods are working.
- Talk to and build connections with experts and partners in law enforcement, government, post-secondary education, and the community.
