Job Description

BC has started recruiting for the post of Correctional officer for the various locations in the adult custody division. It is a regular full time job. The salary ranging from $60662.32 to $79322.69. It even includes a temporary market adjustment up to $254.83 bi-weekly. Moreover, you will get an incentive payment of $10,000 annually. Preference will be given to the veterans and then to the Canadian citizens.

Correctional Officer Jobs details:

  1. You are responsible for taking care of the safety and security of people in custody.
  2. You will create a supportive environment through positive attitude and behavioral change.
  3. You will be responsible for taking care of around 2,800 people.
  4. You will play a crucial role in the criminal justice system through proper control and management.

Job requirements:

  1. You should be at least 19 years of age.
  2. You should have passed Grade 12 English with a final grade of 70%.
  3. You should possess a valid BC Driver’s license.
  4. You should be legally entitled to work in Canada.

If you are a current BC Correctional officer, you are exempted from providing the various documents you have already submitted.

Other requirements:

  1. You need to possess a medical assessment.
  2. You should have a valid occupational first AID.
  3. You need to pass an advanced security screening for final consideration.
